formulation of polypropylene electrical
insulation material from ITW Formex®, offers
exceptional flexibility and durability for a

applications. It can be used as a physical
barrier that protects general users or
service workers from the dangers of exposure
to electrically charged components, while
safeguarding sensitive electronic elements
from damage.
In contrast with fish
paper and aramid paper, this electrical
insulation material offers superior
dielectric strength, an elevated temperature
rating, and exceptional moisture and
chemical resistance. Formex™ GK can easily
be scored and folded into three-dimensional
shapes, making it a highly versatile product
that substantially reduces the costs
associated with tooling, fabricating,
warehousing and shipping.

Outdoor Conditions
As a global standard
solution, Formex™ GK meets all critical
flammability and environmental requirements
in Europe, North America and Asia. This
includes WEEE, RoHS and REACH. It was
recently tested by Underwriters Laboratories
(UL) for UV stability, water exposure and
immersion. Following rigid UL 746C test
protocol, UL granted Formex™ GK electrical
insulation material its f1 rating as a
certified product for use in outdoor
environments. This electrical insulation
material is ideal for protecting the
delicate components within LED lighting, IP
security cameras, access control systems,
and digital signs-just to name a few.
