ITW Formex Concludes a Successful Three-Day Showcase at Data Center World 2026
April 23, 2026
Washington, D.C. — April 23, 2026
ITW Formex, a global leader in electrical insulation and thermal management materials, successfully concluded a productive three-day showcase at Data Center World 2026, held April 20–23, 2026, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
Throughout the event, the Formex team connected with data center professionals, infrastructure teams, customers, and industry partners at Booth 1371. Visitors stopped by to learn more about how Formex material solutions can support cable protection, airflow management, and cooling efficiency in modern data center environments.
Building on decades of brand recognition and proven product leadership, Formex attracted strong interest from attendees looking for reliable solutions backed by UL-rated, flame-retardant Formex material. The booth highlighted three focused solutions designed to support the growing needs of data center infrastructure:
- Cable Tray Liners — flame-rated cable protection for structured cable deployments
- Blanking Panels — sealing unused rack space to support efficient cooling management
- Air Baffles — directing airflow and helping reduce thermal hotspots

A key theme throughout the show was the growing importance of infrastructure efficiency. As data centers continue to expand in scale and complexity, operators are under increasing pressure to manage cable density, airflow, cooling performance, installation speed, and long-term reliability.
Formex Cable Tray Liners help protect cables in structured deployments. Blanking Panels help reduce bypass airflow by sealing unused rack space. Air Baffles help direct airflow to where it is needed, supporting more effective cooling management and helping reduce the risk of localized thermal hotspots.
Attendees also expressed strong interest in Formex’s brand-new facility in Bartlett, Illinois, which is expected to be fully operational in Q3 2026. The new facility will significantly expand Formex global production capacity and support improved product availability for customers in data center and other critical infrastructure markets.
As the data center industry continues to grow, ITW Formex remains committed to supporting customers with material solutions that help protect people, equipment, and power in demanding applications. From cable protection to airflow control and cooling management, Formex will continue working with customers to develop practical solutions for the next generation of data center infrastructure.
