Formex TCI

Formex™ TCI (Thermally Conductive Insulation) integrates efficient heat transfer with robust dielectric insulation. With 1W/(m.k) through-plane thermal conductivity and 2-3W/(m.k) in-plane thermal conductivity, Formex TCI effectively facilitates heat dissipation in electronic applications comparing to traditional insulation films. Formex TCI is an ideal insulation solution for applications which require both strong electrical insulation and better heat dissipation such as EV battery cooling plate insulation, power adapter insulation, OBC insulation, inverter insulation and etc.

The table below presents results from a thermal simulation of EV battery packs, where Formex TCI consistently outperforms traditional insulation powder coating and PET films by reducing temperature elevation and temperature variation among cells. Its superior thermal conductivity and heat spreading capability deliver consistently better performance across all C-rates, making it an ideal choice for demanding thermal management applications.
